DESCRIPTION:September 25\, 26\, 27 | Opening Reception 9.26 | 6-9PM \nKellsie Moore \nAn abstract exploration of place\, belonging\, and identity in motion. \nDrawing inspiration from nearly three years of international travel\, Becoming Home examines the evolving relationship between identity and place. Through abstract compositions\, layered textures\, and natural materials\, the work explores the tension between rootedness and movement\, familiarity and discovery. \nCreated primarily on raw linen with an intentionally organic approach\, each painting reflects the emotional experiences encountered through travel: wonder\, impermanence\, connection\, longing\, and belonging. Rather than representing specific destinations\, the collection considers home as a condition we cultivate rather than the place we were born into. \nBecoming Home invites viewers to reflect on the spaces\, memories\, and experiences that shape who we become\, and the possibility that home may exist not in a fixed location\, but within ourselves.

His large-scale wall works are unique and combine artistic aesthetic reminiscent of abstract expressionists with the handmade technique of fine craftspeople. \nwww.stanmeyer.art \n“Undercurrent” \n“Fanning” \nCharles Counter’s recent body of work originates in part from his interest Buddhist and Hindu philosophy.
